2019 EWRG Sustainable Stormwater Symposium Planning Meeting – Oct 9

Come to the first planning meeting for the 2019 ASCE-EWRG Stormwater Symposium! Be a part of making this coming year’s event a success.

The kickoff meeting for the event will be held Tuesday, October 9th, 5:00 p.m. at the Dragonwell Bistro.  The first round is on EWRG!

70th Anniversary (1948-2018) Vanport Flood Symposium

EWRG helped sponser this event at PSU reflecting on the history surrounding the Vanport Flood disaster, 70 years later.

China’s Sponge City Initiative

Weiwei Wang, a visiting Scholar at PSU’s College of Urban and Public Affairs, presented on China’s extensive Sponge City Initiative, to incorporate green infrastructure and address issues related to water resources, ecology and water resilience simultaneously.


Community Stabilization and Job Creation in the Lents Floodplain

Lisa Huntington and Kate Carone, Eastside Watersheds Team, City of Portland Environmental Services presented on the BES’s initiative to protect floodplain homeowners, prevent displacement, and promote job growth by reducing Johnson Creek flood impacts in the Lents and Powelhurst-Gilbert neighborhoods.
